Fees and payment ownership
Understand the approved standard fee and who handles the money.
These are approved product facts, not confirmation that live payments are activated or a replacement for approved purchase and organizer terms. Sensitive organizer actions and private attendee, member or sales reads also require recent passkey verification in Account → Security.
Kitix’s standard fee
The standard Kitix platform fee is 2% of the paid-ticket price, paid by the organizer. It is not added as a separate mandatory attendee charge. Provider processing fees are separate.
Organizer-owned proceeds
The organizer remains the merchant and receives ticket proceeds through its connected provider account. Kitix does not hold ticket proceeds.
Rate exceptions
Only the Kitix owner can decide a lower organization-specific rate, including an explicit fee waiver. There is no public discount tier or self-service entitlement to a lower rate. Existing checkout fee snapshots do not change when a later rate changes.
Free tickets
Free tickets use the monthly organization allowance rather than the paid-ticket percentage. This page does not define refund fee treatment or provider payout timing.
