Ticket types and sales windows

Offer ticket choices without exceeding event capacity.

Before you begin

All types in one event use one currency and must be all free or all paid. Mixed-type carts, reserved seating and discount codes are not included. Sensitive organizer actions and private attendee, member or sales reads also require recent passkey verification in Account → Security.

Configure ticket types

  1. In event creation or editing, give each ticket type a clear name and price.
  2. Set an optional quantity limit and sales start/end times for each type.
  3. Check the event’s overall capacity and ticket-sales cutoff, then save.
  4. Inspect the event page to confirm each type’s price and availability.

Understand the limits

Event capacity is the overall limit. A type’s quantity limit is an additional limit. Existing issued tickets and active payment holds prevent reducing inventory below what is already committed.

Dates and labels

Type sales windows cannot extend beyond the event’s ticket-sales boundary. Issued tickets keep their original type name if you later rename a type.
